Children's Privacy

GyanMul does not market to, or knowingly collect data directly from, children outside the context of a school relationship. A student account is created and managed by the school as part of its enrollment records, in the same way a school would maintain a paper student file — GyanMul digitizes and secures that existing responsibility rather than establishing a new direct relationship with a child.

• The school is the party responsible for obtaining any parental consent required by applicable law before entering a student's data into GyanMul, consistent with its existing enrollment and record-keeping obligations.
• Parents/guardians are given their own account, linked to their child(ren), so they can see and engage with the same information the school maintains about their child.
• We do not require a student to provide any information directly to us outside of what the school enters or what the student submits through school-directed activity (e.g. submitting homework).

Student data is never used for behavioral advertising, and is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Gurubaa features that touch student data operate strictly within your school's existing role-based permissions and are never used to train models on student data — see Section 8 of our Privacy Policy.

Parents/guardians linked to a student can view that student's attendance, academic, and fee records directly in GyanMul, and can request corrections or deletion through their school, as described in our Account Deletion Policy.

We designed GyanMul's handling of student data to align with the spirit of applicable children's privacy frameworks (including the principles behind COPPA and Google Play's Families policies) — minimizing direct data collection from children, keeping schools and parents in control, and applying strong technical safeguards.
